Under general supervision, this position is responsible for selling West Marine products and services and assisting customers with their product needs. They provide an exemplary customer experience by asking the customer questions to determine their needs and engaging the customer with their product knowledge, suggestive selling items for the customer’s immediate needs and recommending additional items and/or services that will compliment the customers’ destination or boating experience. They handle returns of merchandise and store merchandising, stocking and maintenance activities. They assist the store in achieving its’ daily, monthly and annual sales and service goals. They will perform related work as required. This position reports to the Store/General Manager.
Stock Associate (PR)

Under general supervision, performs physical labor to place retail stock and supplies in their proper place to create a great “customer experience” environment. Duties include: unloading truck, checking merchandise to purchase order/invoice, stocking merchandise, putting merchandise away from customer use. They will perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Store/General Manager.
Cashier (PR)

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for processing cash/credit transactions for the store. They will greet customers; conduct transactions, answer questions and suggestive sell customer service items. They will graciously handle customer returns and concerns. They will answer the phone in a timely manner. They will perform related duties as assigned. This position reports to the Store/General Manager.
Assistant Manager (PR)

Under general supervision, achieves the sales goal of the business unit through assisting in coordinating and supervising operations of the store. These operations include: ensuring an excellent store experience with sales and service for our customers, meeting and exceeding the store’s annual sales goal, inventory shrinkage and high quality of work life results. He or She is responsible for opening/closing the store during certain shifts. They will occasionally supervise the work of subordinate Associates. They will perform related supervisory and professional work as required. This position reports to the Store Manager.
